I'm thrilled to introduce our guest for today, none other than Terry Dickinson, the Interim Executive Director of Ausable Artisan Village nestled in the heart of downtown Grayling. But that's not all there is to Terry – he's a true luminary in the realm of mural art.
Picture this: back in 1974 to 1975, Terry adorned the streets of Bay City and Essexville with an astonishing 52 murals. Yes, you heard that right – 52 stunning murals that brought life and vibrancy to those communities. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Brace yourselves, because Terry's artistic journey continued with over 200 more murals gracing the charming town of Frankenmuth, with the count still climbing.
But here's where it gets even more intriguing. Our paths intertwined during the "City of Mural" Project by the non-profit organization United We Go. As we embarked on a quest to explore the world of murals, I had the privilege of getting to know Mr. Dickinson on a deeper level. The universe seemed to conspire in our favor, leading me to Terry, who not only continues to actively craft mesmerizing artwork but also calls Grayling his home.

Candice is the Founder of Rasa Healing and has 15 years’ experience utilizing transpersonal, existential, and humanistic therapy to catapult soul-level transformation in clients. She has served the community as a therapist since 2007 and started her career supporting the HIV+ community interweaving spirituality and psychotherapy. Candice also has 7 years’ experience as a Clinical Director of 3 addiction treatment centers in Florida studying spirituality and developing programs to enhance connection. Candice utilizes holistic perspectives including Buddhist Psychology and mindfulness to focus on mental, emotional and spiritual healing, not just from an individualized framework, but with an awareness of ancestral karma. Welcome to this week’s Unity Through Diversity. Hope you all enjoyed the last episode with Aland Stamps, the Founder and the CEO of River Jordan where we shared his own life story in foster care system, and how he devote his life to support those who are transitioning out of force Care system with his non profit organization,
In this weeks episode, I’m bringing Sara Humerickhouse the Founder and the CEO of Foster Families Navigation and Resources Center, through her own experience of fostering children, she created a non profit organization to utilize all kinds of resources to support foster parents to better support their fostering experiences.
May is National Foster Care Awareness Month, and if you would like know more about foster care, those two episodes will give you a deeper understanding through those two founders of nonprofit organizations in our local community.
